La Villa a Pantelleria
A beautiful villa situated in Panteleria, finely restored and furnished, taking into account the historical and local customs. The main entrance to the villa is from the city road with access to a small square paved with stone. In the main building there is a kitchen, a bathroom, a typical bedroom zone of Panteleria called alcova, with a double bed and a single bed, a yard in front of the kitchen, an Arab garden with aromatic plants, barbecue, outdoor sinks and ducchena (stone quay against the wall) and the pool area with a gazebo, a utility room, a swimming pool tank and a dammuso. The dammuso is connected with the swimming pool and consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. After the Arab garden a path leads down to the guest area with ancient rent_house with 4 bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen and an outdoor patio,a studio, a terrace and a small Arabic garden. Each room has access to the outside. The whole territory of the island is predominated by white domes of Dammusi that, like sails in the wind, cast these homes in an almost surreal dimension which today, in large part, are used as tourist locations because they are the most picturesque element in the area. In fact, in the beautiful setting of Pantelleria, the rent_house is an 'invention of high architectural brilliance offering plenty of space and the classic alcove full of suggestions from which to enjoy a well deserved rest. But even outside the rent_house spaces combine the needs of a family economy with an architecture enhanced by the Arabian garden with citrus plants, a drying rack to dry grapes, a bakery, a mill and whatever else was essential to the life of the family of Pantelleria.
